I knew the week was going to be HOT, so I had Alex cook a little extra when we grilled over the weekend. I prepared the Chile-Rubbed Flat-Iron Steak. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that I didn’t have any chipotle chile powder left, so I had to use some ancho chile powder instead. I added a dash of cayenne to it too, since chipotles are a little hotter than ancho chiles.
I had Alex toss this on the grill briefly while we made ribs, then I reheated it for dinner later in the week.
This was pretty good. The meat tasted good, although I think that it may have been better if I’d tried using the flat-iron steak the recipe actually called for. I’d try this recipe again.
