In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Stir in the flour, baking powder, salt, coconut, and milk. Pour the mixture into one greased 9-inch pie pan.
Bake in the lower third of the oven for about 60 minutes. Pie will be golden and firm to the touch when done. Cool completely before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.
